When I first came to the Lord and began to study the Holy Bible, I realized quickly that we were in the End Times. But I did not think that we were in the Book of Revelation yet, nor close to it. I have long believed that we are in the season of the Rapture, which precedes the seven-year Tribulation that is found in the book. Over the course of the past decade though, I have come to suspect that we are closer to Revelation becoming reality on Planet Earth than ever before in history. One of the main reasons I say this is because of the rapid spread of widespread blasphemy, which I wrote an entire chapter about in my second book, Even More Signs of Our Times.
Now, yes, there have always been blasphemers in this world – from the time of the Book of Genesis. One thing there has not always been is common blasphemy in the mainstream. As our generation has witnessed the greatest falling away from God in history, we have begun to see unbelievers not just mock us believers (which is natural), but also utter vulgar and heinous blasphemies against the LORD. It makes me sick to my stomach just how ordinary attacks on God and His Word have become. Whether it be on television or movies, in music, schools, government, or in our everyday lives. I give so many examples in my books. It is impossible to deny just how bad and widespread it has become.
The reason I said I believe that we are drawing closer to the Book of Revelation playing out in this world is because the inhabitants of Earth in the Book openly and publicly blaspheme and even curse God. While the world has always had a handful of people who do this, we have never seen so much of the world do it as we do today. I never thought I would live to see the day when people had the gall to rise up against God, but sadly I have. And I foresee it only getting worse leading up to the Rapture of the Church. While this world is in open rebellion against God, mocking, blaspheming, and attacking His Word and Him personally, us true believers need to stand up against those who are against Him. I’m not saying to physically fight with them; but if you love the LORD, then live like you do! Defend Him, stand up for Him, and fight for Him daily. Combat the many lies and the utter disrespect uttered against Him.
If you wouldn’t allow someone to slander or curse your loved ones on this earth, then why would you ever allow them to do it to your Creator?! I know He doesn’t need us to defend Him, because He is God for God’s sake. But I, for one, will not stand by silently. If you have a problem with God, then you have got a problem with me. Period.
