There have been at least 10 suspicious packages containing pipe bombs, this week, that were sent to well-known Democrats and harsh critics of the President of the United States. Packages were sent to former president Obama, the Clintons, Democrat donor George Soros, former Vice President Joe Biden, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, former CIA Director John Brennan (through CNN), Robert Deniro, and others on the Left. None of the devices exploded, and no one was hurt.
At first glance, it is easy to theorize that the suspect is a Trump supporter who is angry at the enemies of the POTUS. Thus, the Left-Wing mainstream media (like CNN) is running with that assumption. They want you to believe that it is a “Right-Wing terrorist,” whose actions were inspired by “irresponsible” language of the President.
On the other side, FOX News and other news outlets on the Right blame the recent “threatening” language of many Democrats for stoking the anger of Trump’s staunchest supporters. Liberals are blaming the “Bomb Scare” solely on Trump and his rhetoric, using social media hashtags like #MAGAbomber; while hardcore Trump supporters are suggesting that it is a “False Flag” perpetrated by the Democrats right before the midterms, using hashtags like #FakeBomb.
I believe that all sides are wrong. I personally don’t believe any of these theories. I believe that it is some wackadoo, that is not right mentally, who either wants attention or who has no moral compass. I also believe that the suspect(s) is NOT “Right-Wing.” You cannot be a murderer and claim to be on “the Right” politically. Just as you cannot be an anti-Semite or White Supremacist.
A lot of people claim to belong to “the Right,” but do not share the values of what the political faction is supposed to be about. To me, historically, the “Right-Wing” has always been known as the “Religious Right” for a reason. It is because we put GOD FIRST, and stand for His Ways being upheld in this nation. Today, obviously that is not always the case.
Conservatism has been hijacked by millennials who support Gay Marriage, recreational drug use, and other Godless things; while “the Right” has become a smorgasbord of Populists, RINOS, White Supremacists, Nazis, former Dems, Libertarians, and Trump-worshippers. That is why I call myself a “Far-Right CHRISTIAN,” because I hold to the traditional Biblical values of the “Religious Right” – and NOT what the Right, as a whole, has become.
I’m not saying, by any means, that all Trump supporters worship the President, but unfortunately many today do. While I was “Never Trump” in the Republican Primaries because I believed that he was liberal, and because of his attacks against Ted Cruz, he has pleasantly surprised me. He has now earned my support. He moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, has been a staunch “Pro-Life” President, and has also been a great friend to Christians (unlike the previous president).
Yet and still, I criticize him when he does something that is against the Holy Bible – just as I do every politician, regardless of their Party. I believe that all Christians should do this, no matter what side of the political aisle you associate with.
While, I personally don’t understand how any Holy Bible-believing Christian can be a Democrat today, the fact remains that some are. I have relatives who have been Dems for decades and who only watch Left-leaning news networks which demonize Republicans, so I can understand why they don’t see things the way that I do. Because of all of the lies that they are fed about the “Right-Wing,” I’m sure they wonder how I can constantly vote Republican.
I bet every one of you reading this has a family of diverse political views. Are our family members our “enemies”? Of course not! So then, I ask those on the Right and Left today, why are you hating those who disagree with you politically? Why are some of you threatening the other side with violence if they don’t surrender to your demands? It doesn’t make sense. It is certainly not the Christian thing to do.
We have become so divided in this nation that we won’t even talk to the other side. We just shout at each other, and God forbid even threaten one another. Everyone I see on social media is blaming President Trump, the Dems, or the lamestream media for this wacko who is sending bombs to everybody. I don’t see anyone looking in the mirror or at each other.
American citizens are currently dividing themselves, and it has nothing to do with the President or any political Party. Now, I’m not saying it is wrong to support your side of the aisle staunchly. I’m saying, be careful that your support doesn’t turn into unbridled hate for the other side. This message goes for Dems and Republicans alike.
All are guilty. Some more than others, but no one has clean hands in today’s bloodying up of America’s politics. Most of you have read my articles on this website. Most of you have read my book. You should all know that I oppose just about everything that the Democrats and CNN stand for. Virtually everything. Still, I have never called for violence against them. That is not the answer, and it never will be.
There are many on the Right and on the Left who are calling for another “Civil War.” I don’t believe that is the answer either. As Christians, we are commanded to love our enemies – to bless them – do good to them – pray for them, and to be at peace with them whenever possible.
Obviously, since they oppose everything that us Right-wingers stand for and are hostile toward us on a daily basis, those are very difficult Biblical commands to adhere to. Still, you can love someone that you disagree with. Our God does it everyday, and that is what we are called to do. He hates sin. He cannot be in the presence of sin.
Yet, our Father in Heaven loved us poor sinners so much that He gave His only begotten Son’s life so that we could be reconciled to Him. God expects us to follow His example. We are to love everyone; even though we may hate, with a passion, the sins they commit or the things that they stand for. We are to be quick to forgive them, just as our LORD is always so quick to forgive us.
My friends, the Benham Brothers, say it best: “God loves ALL people, but He does not love all ideas.” It is possible to love the sinner and hate the sin. I go into great detail about this in my book, “The Signs of Our Times.” Many people call my book “controversial” and “bigoted” because of my Biblical stances on today’s hot-button issues, but after reading it from cover to cover – they can never say that I hate my enemies.
I hate the sins of my enemies. Never the people themselves. That is why I found the targeting of the lives of Democrats and CNN employees this week so disturbing. I immediately had to issue my condemnation of the murderous plot against them. While I loathe most all things that Obama, the Clintons, Soros, Maxine Waters, other Dems, and CNN have said and done – I don’t want to see them lose their lives.
Anyone who wishes for that is NOT Christian, and does not know God. Our God is not willing that ANY should perish, but desires that ALL would come to knowledge of the Truth. While I constantly criticize them, I also pray for them – that the Lord would open their eyes to His Ways and that they would stop being so Biblically-hostile, anti-Christian, and anti-Israel.
They are my political “enemies,” yes, but not in a physical war. We are engaged in a war of words and ideas. That is what everyone on the RIght and the Left needs to grasp and understand. We disagree on many issues, and thus we are entrenched on one side or the other. But we are not to be like Islamic terrorists, lobbing bombs toward our enemies or shooting them up; instead we are to voice our opinions loud and clear as to why we are against what the other side stands for.
What has been happening in this nation (and which started long before this recent act of domestic terror) is leading us into a physical war with our fellow citizens, and the result will be countless dead and the destruction of our Republic. While there may be some anarchists who would enjoy that, I think it’s pretty safe to say that most Americans don’t want that scenario to come to pass.
So, please remember – no matter how right you think you are… no matter how wrong you think your opponent is… leave vengeance to the LORD. If they are in the wrong, and are displeasing God, then they will have to answer to Him for it. We cannot take justice into our own hands. Violence is never the answer.
Pray for your enemies, do not prey on them. Bless them, and do not curse them. Love them even though you may disagree with them. Do good to them, even if they do nothing but evil to you. Even though I may hate what the Left stands for, I don’t hate the people. I don’t want to see them physically harmed in any way shape or form.
I want every human being on earth to come to know Christ as I have, and I hope everyone has the longest life and opportunity to do so. Whenever you have thoughts to do physical harm to those who disagree with you, be sure that it is NOT of God. It is of the devil. And if you act on those thoughts, you are not “Right-Wing” – you are not “Left-Wing” – you are not Republican – you are not Democrat – you are not Conservative – you are not Liberal – you are OF THE DEVIL.
Be a child of God. Be a PEACEMAKER. For it is not possible to overcome evil with evil. You can only overcome evil with GOOD.
