In this day and age it is crucial that every Christian and Jew stand uncompromisingly on EVERY Word of The Eternal GOD YaHWeH and His Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible was written by a select few chosen “holy men” through the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God. It was not randomly put together by a bunch of random men like skeptics today suggest. God’s Word has ALL of the answers. All of the TRUTH. All that God has EVER wanted to say to His creation. Yet modern society scoffs at God’s Word. They mock, attack, refute, and attempt to disprove or discredit It in every way that they possibly can. That is why I felt moved by the Spirit to write an article that will silence skeptics, challenge their accusations and false assumptions, and give them the PROOF of the Holy Bible’s inerrancy which they are always asking us believers for. We’ll start with “scientific proof”, since atheists claim that there is no evidence on earth that supports the Existence of our God. I very much beg to differ.
If Scientists would just believe God’s Word, it would save them a lot of time and effort. Because so many of them spend their entire lives trying to disprove Him, while inevitably CONFIRMING His Word in the end. For instance, God told us in the Book of Job, which is around 4,000 years old, that Air has weight ~ “.. He makes the weight for the winds..” (Job 28:25) Scientists didn’t confirm this until the 16th Century. God told us in the Book of Isaiah, written around 2,750 years ago, that the Earth is round ~ “It is He that sits upon the CIRCLE of the earth..” (Isaiah 40:22) Scientists didn’t come to this conclusion until the 15th Century. Scientists discovered around 350 years ago that Earth is held in place by invisible forces, but God revealed this 4,000 years ago ~ “.. He hangs the Earth upon NOTHING.” (Job 26:7) Around 3,500 years ago, in the time of Moses, the Word of God warned that certain animals carry diseases which are harmful to men ~ (Leviticus 11) Scientists couldn’t officially confirm this fact until the 16th Century. In the same Book of Leviticus, The LORD tells us that Blood is necessary for Life ~ “For the life of the flesh in IN the blood..” (Leviticus 17:11) This fact was not discovered by Scientists until just over a century ago.
Now, besides the atheists, there is a crowd who claims that the Holy Bible is just a bunch of “fairytale” stories meant to inspire or encourage you. They say that the Biblical figures never existed, nor did the events described in our Holy Book. ARCHAEOLOGY proves these naysayers wrong. Archaeological evidence at digs in the Middle East region reveal a layer of clean water laid clay between remains of ancient civilizations that are clear evidence of a Biblical Flood. This layer proves that there was a cataclysmic flood of long duration that completely separated pre-flood civilization and post-flood civilization. Archaeologists have also found fossils of sea creatures in rock layers on all continents. Most rock layers in the walls of Grand Canyon (more than a mile above sea level) contain MARINE fossils. Fossilized shellfish are found in the Himalayas. In mountains all over the world one can find sea shells and other marine fossils.
Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Jericho, Megiddo, Shiloh, Haran, Hazor, Dan, Megiddo, Shechem, Gezer, Gibeah, Beth Shemesh, Beth Shean, Beersheba, Lachish, and many other Biblical Cities have been excavated, along with Babylon. Such geographical sites are extremely significant in demonstrating that FACT, not fantasy, is intended in the Old Testament historical narratives. The Promised Land which The LORD gave unto Israel had set parameters, and was not a collection of made up City names or parcels of land, but it was and is a factual distinct area of Land. Archaeology in the Holy Land has made discoveries confirming the Kingship and existence of David as well as many other ancient Kings of Israel. Ancient seals have been found in Israel that reveal the name “Baruch, son of Neriah”, the scribe who recorded the prophecies of Jeremiah. The king of Babylon, Belshazzar, was mentioned in the Book of Daniel (Chapter 5) as the last king of Babylon. Bible skeptics jumped with glee for years, because Nabonidus was the last known Babylonian king in recorded history. They were shocked when an ancient tablet was discovered showing that Belshazzar was Nabonidus’ SON.
The Book of Genesis states that “Noah’s Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat.” (Genesis 8:4). In 1970, Georgie Hagopian, claimed to have visited the Ark twice ATOP MOUNT ARARAT around 1908-1910 with his uncle. Hagopian claimed that he had climbed up onto the Ark and walked along its roof and that some of his young friends had also seen it. Ed Davis, a United States Army Sergeant based in Iran during World War II, reported that he had climbed Mount Ararat with his driver’s family in 1943. After a 3 days’ climb, the group camped 100 feet above the Ark and said they were able to look down into it but not able to approach closely. Davis described that it had broken into two pieces, which had been pushed some distance apart by glaciers. His description MATCHED Hagopian’s.
Everyone, believer and non-believer alike, has heard the account in the Book of Exodus, when the Israelites crossed over the Red Sea and The LORD swallowed up Pharaoh’s army in the midst of it ~ “And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and ALL the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.” (Exodus 14:28) I’m sure what many of you don’t know is what has recently been discovered at the bottom of the middle of the Red Sea. Artifacts found include chariot wheels, chariot bodies, as well as human and horse bones. Professor Abdel Gader of Cairo University’s Faculty of Archaeology said that his team has recovered more than 400 different skeletons, plus hundreds of weapons and pieces of armor, and the remains of two war chariots in the Red Sea. He estimates that more than 5000 other bodies could be dispersed over a wider area, suggesting that an ARMY had perished there. Gader and his team conclude that the bodies could be linked to the famous Biblical event of the Exodus, since no traces of boats or ships have been found in the area. Also, the positions of the bodies and the fact that they were stuck in a vast quantity of clay and rock, imply that they may have died in a tidal wave. ~ “Pharaoh’s chariots and his host has God cast into the sea: Pharaoh’s chosen captains also are DROWNED in the Red sea. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.” (Exodus 15:4-5)
Whether the unbelievers want to acknowledge it or not, Archaeology no doubt rules IN FAVOUR of the Holy Bible. A respected and well known Archaeologist, Professor Nelson Glueck has stated, “I have excavated for 30 years with a Bible in one hand and a trowel in the other, and in matters of historical perspective I have NEVER found the Bible to be in error.” May I add to that, It NEVER will be.
Even the Studies of Geologists today prove the Holy Bible’s accounts of history to be totally accurate. The Gospels tells us that Christ Jesus was crucified at 33 years old on a Friday in the Season of Passover, and that when He died on the Cross there was a great earthquake. ~ “.. And the earth did QUAKE, and the rocks rent.” (Matthew 27:51) Geologists who studied earthquake activity for that Year, concluded that if Jesus would have been crucified during an earthquake, it would have been on FRIDAY, April 3 (Passover Week), in the Year 33! Their investigation, reported in International Geology Review, focused on earthquake activity at the Dead Sea, located 13 miles from Jerusalem. How unbelievably accurate is God’s Holy Word?! HalleluYah!
There are two more Biblical issues I want to make sure I address, because they are two of the biggest arguments skeptics use against the inerrancy of the Holy Bible. First, the “Matthew vs. Luke Genealogy” argument. For those of you who are not familiar, The Gospels of Matthew and Luke in our New Testaments, both give a Genealogy of Jesus Christ, but they are different. So of course the skeptics pounce and say “See, an error!”. Though, what they perceive to be an error, is actually God covering all bases so to speak. Giving not just one, which would be enough, but two reasons why Christ was the prophesied Messiah. Most Bible Scholars believe that LUKE gives the Genealogy of Mary (who was also of the royal Davidic line), while MATTHEW traces the Genealogy of Joseph. Thus by BOTH His Mother and earthly father, Jesus had a claim to the THRONE of Israel.
Matthew records the lineage of Christ back to Abraham, as he was writing to a Jewish audience primarily, so they would be familiar with the Royal Line of Israel. Luke traces it all the way back to Adam because he is writing to a larger audience including the gentiles, showing that Jesus was not just the Messiah of Israel, but for ALL of mankind. The 2 Genealogical lines do parallel each other to a tee from Abraham to David. But beginning with David, Matthew traces the paternal line of descent through Solomon; Luke traces the maternal line through Solomon’s brother, Nathan. Joseph was the end of the paternal line, while Mary was the last of the maternal line as the daughter of Heli. So the reason that Joseph is said to be the “son” of Heli (Mary’s father) in Luke’s Gospel is because he is his son-in-law. Joseph was a direct-line, blood descendant of David and, therefore, OF David’s throne.
However, a critical credential for the Messiah was PHYSICAL descent from David, something that could not be established through Joseph, as Mary conceived Jesus through the Holy Spirit and not through Joseph’s seed. This aspect and fulfillment of Jesus’ Messiahship was established through His Mother Mary, who was ALSO a blood descendant of King David. Both the blood of David and the throne of David were key variables to qualify Jesus to be recognized as THE CHRIST. Not to mention, Luke was very adamant about making clear that GOD was The Father of Jesus, hence the reason he believed that the Genealogy should be traced from Her. So while nonbelievers point out the Genealogical disagreement between Matthew and Luke as an “error”, on the contrary, it was actually God giving us more detail and more proof than we had even needed that Jesus Christ was Who He says He was. Beyond shadow of a doubt, and confirmed through TWO bloodlines as THE Messiah.
Finally, I hear a lot of skeptics today say that the biggest error in the Holy Bible is that Moses could not have wrote the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) because he would have had to write about his own death in Deuteronomy (Chapter 34). This argument is utterly ridiculous and lazy. Moses did write the first 5 books of the Holy Bible, including Deuteronomy which records his death. You know why this is possible? Because his death is recorded in Chapter 34 of Deuteronomy. Do you know how many Chapters are in Deuteronomy? 34! So while I agree, Moses did not write Chapter 34 which is placed at the END of the Book, it doesn’t mean he didn’t write the rest of it! In the same Chapter, verse 9, it is said that “Joshua the son of Nun was full of the Spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.” So, I think it’s safe to assume and pretty clear that God tells us right there who wrote that last Chapter of Deuteronomy about Moses’ death. It was obviously Joshua, as God tells you that Joshua was full of His SPIRIT, just as Moses was. To say Moses wrote about his own death is not Biblically accurate and just plain silly.
Friends, the mainstream liberal voices in this ONCE God-fearing Nation will label you as CRAZY, a “looney-tune”, or “nutjob” for believing GOD’S Word over the popular opinions and ideas of MEN. This isn’t their voices alone though, it is the devil speaking through them. Satan doesn’t want you believing the Holy Bible, he doesn’t want you reading or studying it. He wants you writing it off as an inaccurate collection of fables. We all know that the devil is A LIAR. You are NOT crazy for believing the Holy Bible. On the contrary, ALL of those Godless critics and skeptics shouting insults at you for believing God RATHER THAN men, they are the REAL crazy ones. Anyone who believes fellow disobedient sinful members of creation OVER our All-Holy, All-knowing, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Almighty, Merciful, Loving, Saving God.. THEY my friends are the looniest FOOLS in the world.
So, while the rest of this Nation and world continues to be pulled away from our Maker, those of us who still FEAR God need to get CLOSER to Him. We need to boldly stand against the unGodly and every abominable thing which they do to PROVOKE God. We need to rebuke those who ignorantly mock, blaspheme or spread lies about our Holy Book. Above all, we need to believe the WORD OF GOD over any and everything else. Because HIS Word always has and always will TRUMP ALL.
