There are more false prophets in this generation than ever before in the history of Christianity. You could be following one right now and not even realize it. This could be because you are either new to the Faith, or because what they’re preaching fits best with your view of the world – and not so much with the Biblical worldview. The Biblical worldview is completely antithetical to the prevailing liberal worldview today. The Word of God and true Christians are hated by this world, just as Lord Jesus said that we would be in the Last Days.
Meanwhile, the Joel Osteens of the world are loved in this society. The worldly prosperity preachers draw the biggest crowds, sell the most books, and garner the most praise in the media and followers on social media. That would make an outsider to Christianity believe that they are the embodiments of our Faith, and that the small majority of us who hold to the actual Biblical worldview today are the “false prophets.” They have got it backwards. After all, Satan is the great deceiver.
How did Jesus Himself tell us to recognize a false prophet? He said in Luke 6:26, “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” So, Christ said that if you’re loved by the world, you may not be as “Christian” as you think you are or claim to be. True believers, like myself, seek God’s approval – not the approval of other men or society. We live to please him – not the secular world. If your preacher or Biblical teacher is embraced by the world, or if your church is an amphitheater that resembles a nightclub, chances are good that you may be following a false prophet.
I am one of the very few Christian authors today that was not afraid to name names in my book, because I feel that the wolves in sheeps clothing in our Faith need to be exposed. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again… If what your Pope, pastor, priest, or preacher, is teaching does not line up with the Word of God, then FORGET IT. It is not of God, and it is not worth remembering!
