THE COMING SIGNS OF OUR TIMES: THE IDENTITY OF THE 144,000 SEALED

“I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.” – Revelation 7:2-4

In this 4th installment of my 14-week series on the Book of Revelation, I will be examining the identity of the 144,000 servants of God who are sealed during the 7-year Tribulation. Though there are many denominations in Christianity today who like to ignore the Scripture, and teach that the 144,000 will be members of “their church” (such as Jehovah’s Witnesses), the Holy Bible is crystal clear as to who they’ll be.

If you want to have a clear picture of the Book of Revelation, then I recommend reading my first 3 installments of this series first, and then reading this article. This series is based on my book, THE COMING SIGNS OF OUR TIMES: A Guide for Those Who Are Left Behind in the Generation of Tribulation. Thus far, I’ve explained what occurs after the Rapture and also how the Tribulation period began. At this point in my Revelation series, 6 seals have been broken. Before the seventh is broken, the LORD must seal his chosen evangelists. Now, learn a bit about them from the fourth chapter of my book, titled, “144,000 Jewish Evangelists Sealed”…

Before the seventh seal is opened, there is a brief lull in the pouring out of God’s judgments upon the earth. Even though the Christ-rejecting world deserves wrath, the LORD still extends His great arm of mercy toward the sinners of Earth. He will give them another chance to be saved and to inherit eternal life through His Son, Jesus, and will do this by sealing 144,000 Jews of the 12 Tribes of Israel with His Holy Spirit. They will preach the Gospel to the post-Rapture world.

Up until this point of the Tribulation, the Holy Spirit has been present on Earth – as He has since the beginning of the world; but His presence has not been as prevalent since the Church went up in the Rapture. That is why Antichrist has been rising to power, and will soon control the entire world system. The overwhelming influence of the Spirit on the earth, through billions of believers, had kept the arrival of the world’s most wicked leader at bay –

“The mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth (hinders) will let, until he be taken out of the way. Then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.” – 2nd Thessalonians 2:7-8

If you are left behind, then that wicked one has finally been revealed on the earth. Though his true Antichrist nature will not be made fully clear until he sits in the Holy Temple of Jerusalem and declares himself to be God. It’s at that time when his demonic influences escalate into full-blown possession by none other than Satan himself. Much of the world, being Biblically-illiterate, will continue to follow after him and even worship him as a god. Due to such a huge lack of Biblical knowledge around the globe, most citizens of Earth will accept his mark and will be doomed to Hell. Thanks to God’s gracious and merciful nature, not everyone will have to suffer that fate. The LORD will raise up a remnant of His people to preach the identity of the Messiah (Jesus) to the world.

This remnant will be 144,000 Spirit-filled Jews. They will not only be sealed with the Spirit, but they’ll also be marked with the Father’s Name (YHWH) on their foreheads (Revelation 14:1) – in contrast to Satan’s mark, which Antichrist will institute. Bearing YHWH’s mark, they won’t be harmed by the coming judgments of the LORD. The mark of God will also protect them from the Antichrist. Some may be arrested, tortured, and even imprisoned, but God’s mark will bring them Divine supernatural protection so that they cannot be killed by the Beast. It will be like when Daniel’s friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, had been thrown into the fiery furnace in Babylon.

“Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” – Daniel 3:24-25

Just as Jesus protected the servants of the LORD way back then in the furnace, so too will He ensure that no death will befall His 144,000 chosen evangelists.
