FINALLY!: Trump Keeps Promise To Move Embassy As He Recognizes Jerusalem As Israel’s Capital

Many of you who follow this website are aware that I was firmly “Never Trump” throughout the Republican Primaries in the 2016 Election season. I also made clear that I could not bring myself to vote for Donald Trump in the Presidential Election, because I felt that he was just as liberal as Hillary Clinton. Over the course of the past year, the President proved many of my assumptions true, that he would not govern as the “Conservative” he was painted out to be by many of my Christian friends. 

Read my “Grading The Presidency” article I post monthly, and you’ll see how disappointed I have been with Trump for not keeping the most important promises which he made to my brothers and sisters who cast their votes for him. I said in that article, and in many articles in which I have been critical of Trump, that I sincerely prayed for my pro-Trump friends to be right about him and that he would prove me wrong. I also said that if he actually keeps his promises, which I have been viewing as “broken” throughout the course of his first full-year, that I would rejoice and apologize for doubting his word. 

Well, since he has proven to finally be a man of his word, I will also keep mine and offer my formal apology to the President of the United States. I’m apologizing to Donald Trump, because he has made good on one of the biggest promises which he made numerous times on the Campaign Trail to get elected by Christians and Jews. That promise was to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to their God-given Eternal Capital of JERUSALEM. 

For 11 straight months, due to what appeared to be backtracking and even reneging, I consistently gave the President an “F” grade in regard to the Embassy promise. After enduring 8 long years of the most anti-Israel President of all-time, Barack Hussein Obama, I was afraid that Republicans had elected another “New York Values” lying politician who had hoodwinked my fellow Conservative Christians and Jews. My fears were finally quelled on the afternoon of this historic day, December 6, 2017. 

Earlier today, President Trump gave a live address to the nation and the world in which he officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital City, and added that he was “directing the US State Department to begin preparations to MOVE THE US EMBASSY from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem”. HalleluYah!!! I was shocked and overjoyed at the same time. I was shocked because just 6 months ago, in June, Trump signed a waiver “postponing” the Embassy move until at least December. 

That made me angry, and even more doubtful that he was a man of his word, because he had stated up and down the Campaign trail that he would “immediately” move the Embassy upon becoming President. To me a Year or more into his Presidency was not “immediately”. As of today though, it was worth the wait! Better late than never for sure! He finally delivered, and he has finally earned my respect. Many who know me well, know that I don’t love Trump but I also don’t hate him. I just want him to do well, and today he did GREAT. 

He said in today’s address – “Today, I am delivering… It is the RIGHT THING to do”. Could the President actually have read my many #MoveTheEmbassy tweets in which I included the hashtag #DoTheRightThing? What’s interesting, is that after I tweeted his November Grades from the “Grading the Presidency” article to him, in which I said that he could easily turn an “F” into an “A” overnight if he would just keep promise to move the Embassy, less than one week later HE DOES IT! We all know how Trump likes to get good grades and reviews, and he has finally earned one from me.

The President went on to say in the live statement – “In 1995, Congress adopted the Jerusalem Embassy Act urging the federal government to relocate the American Embassy to Jerusalem and to recognize that that city, and so importantly, is Israel’s Capital. This Act passed congress by an overwhelming bipartisan majority. And was reaffirmed by unanimous vote of the Senate only six months ago. Yet, for over 20 years, every previous American president has exercised the law’s waiver, refusing to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem or to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital city. 

Presidents issued these waivers under the belief that delaying the recognition of Jerusalem would advance the cause of peace. Some say they lacked courage but they made their best judgments based on facts as they understood them at the time. Nevertheless, the record is in. After more than two decades of waivers, we are no closer to a lasting peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians. It would be folly to assume that repeating the exact same formula would now produce a different or better result. 

Therefore, I have determined that it is time to OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZE JERUSALEM AS THE CAPITAL OF ISRAEL. Through all of these years, presidents representing the United States have declined to officially recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital. In fact, we have declined to acknowledge any Israeli Capital at all. But today we finally acknowledge the obvious. That Jerusalem IS Israel’s Capital. This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality. It is also the right thing to do. It’s something that has to be done. 

That is why, consistent with the Jerusalem Embassy Act, I am also directing the State Department to begin preparation to MOVE THE AMERICAN EMBASSY from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This will immediately begin the process of hiring architects, engineers and planners so that a new embassy, when completed, will be a magnificent tribute to peace.” 

He didn’t beat around the bush today, like in the past. He didn’t use the words “maybe”, “possibly”, or “someday”. No, he said “immediately”, and “has to be done”. Thank you mr. President! Myself, and fellow God-fearing Holy Bible believers across this nation  and world, are elated. Of course, there were some who were not too happy with today’s announcement. Namely, God-haters, Islamic terrorists, and anti-semites across the world. First, of course, there is the Palestinians who claim falsely that Israel is “occupying” the Holy Land. 

There were protests and vile demonstrations in Gaza against the President, the United States, and Israel before and after the President’s announcement. Palestinian factions called for 3 “days of rage” in protest. The Hamas terror group in Palestine threatened to “open the doors of hell” with terrorism, violence, and a “third intifada” against the Jewish State. The entire Muslim world, who backs Palestine in the conflict, all condemned and criticized Trump and made threats. 

Isn’t it interesting how muslims always claim that theirs is a “religion of peace”, yet whenever they don’t get their way they threaten violence, war, and terrorism? It just goes to show, once again, who the “good guys” and the “bad guys” are on the world stage. And yes, I’m saying without reservations that the muslims are the BAD GUYS. In Turkey, the muslims staged anti-Israel and anti-American protests outside the US consulate in Istanbul. Turkey’s President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that the U.S. recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital was a “red line” for muslims. 

He said Turkey would cut relations with Israel because of the move. Liberal world leaders from the E.U., Germany, France, Britain, and the Biblically-ignorant Pope all chimed in with their own condemnation of Trump’s announcement. Iran’s foreign ministry said that “The provocative and unwise decision by the U.S. will provoke muslims and inflame a new intifada, and an escalation of radical, angry and VIOLENT behavior”. Oh, what a “religion of peace”. How could the anti-Israel United Nations not chime in as well?

The UN Security Council has called for an “urgent meeting” on the US decision by the end of the week. Trump should withdraw any and all U.S. aid and funding from Palestine, the United Nations, the Islamic nations, and any other nations that are threatening our greatest Ally, Israel, or the United States. Who do they think they are? They all need America far more than we need any of them. The President should literally say that “the buck stops here”, and that there will be no more alliances, funding, or cooperation with nations that hate God’s Chosen Nation of Israel. DEFUND them all.

No matter how many anti-Israel resolutions the United Nations passes, Almighty God is crystal clear that Jerusalem and the entire Land of Israel was gifted to His Nation of Israel for an EVERLASTING possession. No matter what the Palestinians say, or anyone else for that matter, they can never change the facts and truth about the Holy Land, which God Himself has forever set in stone. Someday, they will deeply regret contending with the God of the Universe. 

The UN, the muslim nations, liberal world leaders and media all refer to some of Israel’s most treasured Cities as “illegal settlements” or the “West Bank” in order to DENY Israel’s 4,000 year old Biblical claim to the Land. They refer to Israel as an “occupier”. I have stated in many articles that NOT ONE CENTIMETER of the Holy Land of Israel belongs to the Palestinians, because the Israelis are not occupying anything, rather they are exactly where God has always determined them to be.

In Biblical actuality, and in God’s Eyes, those living in modern-day Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Palestine are all “OCCUPYING” Land which God says “BELONGS to Israel”. The LORD says that Jerusalem, and the entire Holy Land of Israel, belongs to the Jews nearly 1,000 times in the Holy Bible. Allah, the god of Islam and of the muslim world, mentions Jerusalem ZERO times in the Quran. ZERO! Jerusalem, the Eternal Capital of Israel, has and will ALWAYS belong solely to the Jewish people according to the Word of the Living God.

Jerusalem is the City of the Great King, our Lord Jesus Christ, Who will return to personally put an end to the enemies of Israel. So, in the End it will be Israel and God versus literally the whole WORLD. Guess Who wins? One thing is for sure after today, that Donald Trump has placed America on the RIGHT SIDE, on the WINNING SIDE, which is on GOD’S SIDE. This is the first article I have ever written that is not critical of the President, and I’m happy to end it by saying – God bless the President of the United States of America. THANK YOU TRUMP for proving me wrong.
