While many in this Country are debating over Muslim refugees, and why we should or should not let them into America, there is currently a GENOCIDE against Christians in the Islamic lands these refugees are coming from. It is THEM, our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ, who we should be focusing on, and NOT on the Islamic refugees who have dozens of nearby Muslim nations they can flee to. Recent reports from the Middle East reveal that Christianity could become EXTINCT from Iraq by 2020, and from ALL Islamic Nations within just 10 years.
ISIS and the other Islamic terror groups have made it their aim to wipe out the ancient Christian population in the Region where our Faith was first born. 1,300,000 Iraqi Christians have been displaced, murdered or taken prisoner since 2003. Only 300,000 displaced Christians remain in Iraq and Syria. Their homes have been seized or burned down by the Islamists, and they are doing their best to survive in the plains and mountains. A dozen Christian families flee Iraq DAILY, according to 21st Century Wilberforce Initiative. Though once making up 14% of the population just over a decade ago, Christians have dwindled to just 4% in Islamic Nations.
The ONLY Nation in the Middle East where the Christian population is thriving and growing is of course, ISRAEL. In places like Iran and Turkey though, their number is too small to count. In Lebanon, their numbers have shrunk in the past 100 years, from nearly 80% of the population to just over 30% today. Just over 10 years ago, Assyrian Christians in Iraq numbered 1.6 million, but after the rise of al-Qaida and most recently ISIS (Islamic State), the number of the ancient Assyrian Christians fell sharply. As of last year, less than 500,000 remained. After ISIS’ takeover of Christian Cities in Iraq last year, the Islamic terror group has slaughtered and displaced the Christians, cutting their numbers down by almost half to 300,000.
The Assyrians were one of the first groups in the Middle East to convert to Christianity and are one of the last groups to speak Aramaic, the language of our Lord Jesus Christ. Last June, ISIS took over Mosul, and purged the City of EVERY last Christian. One of the most ancient Christian Cities in the Middle East now does not contain ONE single Christian. ISIS painted a red Arabic ‘‘N’’ for Nazarene to MARK the Christian homes in Mosul, then left notices on the doors, warning they could either “CONVERT OR DIE”. They chose to flee their homes. Last Christmas was the FIRST TIME in 2,000 years that Church bells did not ring out in the city of Mosul. Meanwhile, those who have fled ISIS in Iraq and Syria can not find safe haven in the U.N. Refugee Camps, because they say the muslim refugees in the camps are hostile and threatening to them. Those Christians attempting to take refuge in the camps have been either raped or murdered.
So, the Christians are pretty much left with nowhere to go. The entire Islamic world, not just ISIS is being hostile toward our brothers and sisters in Christ. Many of them have been captured by ISIS and held for ransom. The Islamic State is demanding $100,000 for EACH Christian, and given the number of prisoners they currently have, that would cost $28 MILLION to save them all, and to stop the genocide of one of the oldest and last remaining Christian denominations in the Middle East. Sadly, the worry with many is that the same ransom money used to save the Christians, ultimately makes ISIS richer and more powerful. Which essentially strengthens their hand to continue their quest to make Christianity extinct in the region.
Meanwhile, Christians are also under siege by ISIS in Syria as well, and our brothers and sisters of the faith are also said to be under increasing persecution in Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and other Islamic Gulf States. The Christians are also under assault in Africa and Asia, at the hands of Islamic terror groups such as Boko Haram in Nigeria, Al-Shabab in Sudan, or by Islamists in Kenya and Tanzania, among other places. Asian Christians have been targeted not just by the Muslims, but by Hindu and Buddhist movements in Pakistan, Hindu and Myanmar.
While all of these atrocities are taking place, the message we consistently receive from the persecuted Christians is “the Obama Administration is NOT FRIENDLY to the Christian cause.” They mean that he is doing NOTHING to help them. Since Syria’s Civil War began in 2011, the Obama Administration has accepted nearly 2,200 refugees, but only 60 of them were Christians. 60 with ONE zero, compared to the over 2,000 MUSLIM refugees he has brought in. Now, Obama wants to bring 10,000 more ISLAMIC refugees into America, of which 7,000 of them are young military-aged men (ISIS’ target demographic). Meanwhile, how many of the persecuted, threatened, dying Christian refugees is Obama calling to bring in? ZERO! What a disgrace.
I say NOT ONE MORE Muslim refugee should be accepted into this Country until the U.S. seeks out and brings over EVERY last Christian refugee FIRST. No debate. End of story. PERIOD.
“And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw UNDER THE ALTAR the souls of THEM that were SLAIN for the WORD OF GOD (Holy Bible)..” ~ Revelation 6:9
“.. And I saw the souls of them that were BEHEADED for the Witness of JESUS, and for the WORD OF GOD..” ~ Revelation 20:4
“JESUS said, Then shall they deliver YOU (Christians) up to BE AFFLICTED, and shall KILL YOU: and YOU shall be HATED of all nations for MY NAME’S Sake.” ~ Matthew 24:9
“JESUS said.. The time COMES, that whosoever KILLS you will THINK that he (Islamist) does GOD service. And THESE things will THEY (Islamists) do unto YOU (Christians and Jews), because they have NOT KNOWN The Father, NOR ME.” ~ John 16:2-3
Amen, Praise the Lord! This is the truth of reality, and we must keep up the prayers for the saints, those enduring hardship and persecution. I see news footage always of Islamic refugee’s on CBC here in Canada, but I never see anything, not one thing about Christians or Christian refugees. Like the Obama Admin, the Liberal government and the country simply do not care about Christians, it it truly a tragic era that we live in. Are living in the last days? Yes! When will the Lord return? The King will return when all the things foretold, come to pass. We must patiently endure the coming days, of persecution and death, both here in North America, Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and elsewhere, it calls for patience on behalf of the saints.
