ALLIED AGAINST ISRAEL: Is The Gog-Magog War At The Door?

This past weekend, the fuse may have been lit for one of the most infamous “Last Days” wars prophesied in the Holy Bible – the “Gog-Magog War”. The Battle, often confused with “Armageddon”, precedes the Book of Revelation’s War to end all wars. The Gog-Magog War is prophesied in the Book of Ezekiel. While the Battle in the valley of Megiddo pits virtually ALL nations of the world against the tiny nation of Israel, the Gog-Magog campaign is comprised of at least 7 specific nations that form a confederate attack on God’s Chosen Nation.

God mentions RUSSIA as the leader of the confederacy, and they are allied with IRAN, TURKEY, LEBANON, LIBYA, ETHIOPIA, and YEMEN. For anyone who mocks the Holy Bible, or doubts the accuracy of Biblical Prophecy, you’re going to get a reality check in this article. I will make a believer out of you, as I’m going to document recent news regarding conflict between ALL of these nations and ISRAEL.

Before I dig into that, I want to examine what happened this past Saturday, and why I believe the recent events have put us at the doorstep of this historic Biblical Battle. On February 10th, Israel shot down an Iranian drone which flew deep into its airspace from Syria. Israel then launched a strike on the base from which the drone took off. Upon returning to Israel, the Jewish State’s F-16 jet was shot down by the Syrian army.

This was the first time, since 1982, that an Israeli aircraft was downed by enemy fire. In response to the loss of its aircraft, Israel launched a set of retaliatory strikes on 12 Syrian air defenses, including their bases known to be staffed with Iranian personnel. The Israeli warplanes were again met with an attack by Syria’s anti-aircraft missiles but, this time, none of them had touched an Israeli airplane.

I’m sure many of you reading this, even Bible-believers, will say “what’s to see here”? Iran and Israel have always been at war with eachother. Why is this particular incident significant? While the current Israeli-Iranian conflict has been going on for 70 years, in recent decades it has only involved “proxies” of Iran, like Hezbollah or Hamas, being engaged in military clashes with Israel.

This is the first time in our generation that National military forces of the two bitter enemies have ever entered into close combat on the ground. For the first time in our lifetime, the Iranian military forces in Syria are right at the doorstep of Israel. Also, for the first time in our generation, Israel’s army is engaging them DIRECTLY, as opposed to only feuding with the Iranian-backed terror groups in Palestine and Lebanon.

Tehran supporting Syria’s Assad regime, and Hezbollah fighters operating there, have been described as a nuisance to Israel, but “manageable” nuisances. Though “an Iranian Military presence anywhere near Israel’s borders is intolerable”, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin NetanYahu. The Prime Minister rightly believes that wartorn Syria has become the operating base in Iran’s campaign to “wipe the Jewish state off the map”.

NetanYahu said on Saturday night, “Israel will defend ourselves resolutely against any attack against us and against any attempt by Iran to establish itself militarily against us in Syria or anywhere else.” These recent developments in the Middle East signal that the long-expected war between Israel and Iran could be right on the horizon, but also that Gog-Magog could be too.

The reason that Iran is currently in Syria is because, along with RUSSIA, their military is fighting in support of the dictatorial regime of Bashar al-Assad in the country’s near 7-year civil war. Up until this point, Israel has not intervened in Syria’s War. This is because the Jewish State has no dog in the fight. There is really no good scenario to be seen in Syria for Israel, as the Assad regime would be hostile, but a Syria ruled by Islamic terrorists like ISIS would be just as bad.

Syria would be an enemy either way, and that is why Israel has been content in sitting back and watching its rivals fight each other. Now that Israel has finally stepped into the battle, the Jewish State’s enemies could take the attention off of each other and unite against Israel. Though that may seem farfetched, you have to consider the old adage, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”. If there is anything that Islamists (rather they be for or against Assad) hate more than eachother, it’s ISRAEL.

Besides the Islamists, there is another hostile power that Israel has to worry about – RUSSIA. If you remember, it is Russia who will lead the confederate war against the Jewish State in the Gog-Magog battle. Russia is closely allied with both Syria and Iran, not to mention Turkey. It was reported on Saturday, that Netanyahu had a “very serious and tense” conversation with Russia’s president Vladimir Putin.

He was quoted as telling Putin, “The message that Israel has been trying to get through to the Russians for quite a while now … that Iran has gone from being an asset operating on behalf of Russian interests into a burden … and that Israel will not hesitate to ruin Putin’s party in Syria if Israel’s own interests are harmed.” Wow. I don’t think we ever heard a world leader have the cojones to tell off Putin like that. That is why NetanYahu has always been my favorite leader on the world stage, and it’s no wonder why God chose him to rule over His nation in these perilous times.

Putin doesn’t like it when anyone stands up to him, and that may be a reason why Russia targets Israel in the upcoming “Gog-Magog War”. 3,000 years ago, God’s prophet foretold that Russia would lead the invasion of Israel. How can even the most hardened of unbelievers not see this scenario playing out before our very eyes? Russia is currently “allied” with EVERY nation mentioned in Ezekiel’s prophecy, while on the flipside, EVERY nation of the prophecy currently HATES Israel with a passion.

The number one ally of Russia today is undoubtedly IRAN, and the number one enemy of Israel today is undeniably IRAN. Can you do the math? The Gog-Magog prophecy found in Ezekiel, Chapters 38-39, says that “Persia” (modern-day Iran) is the KEY ally of Russia in the attack on Israel. “Gog” is the name used by God to describe the Last Days’ Leader of Russia, whom we know today as Vladimir Putin.

“Magog” refers to the ancient people, the Magogites, who are modern-day RUSSIANS. Ezekiel also mentions “ROSH”, “MESHECH”, and “TUBAL” in his prophecy. “Rosh” is translated today as RUSSIA. Meshech translates as MOSCOW, and Tubal refers to the city of TUBALSK in Russia. I’ve already said how “Persia” in Ezekiel’s prophecy is Iran, but there are 5 other nations which I mentioned earlier in this article. So, how do they fit in? There is another powerful nation in the prophecy known as “Togarmah”, which is also referred to as “Gomer”, and this nation is modern day TURKEY.

That should not come as a surprise to many of you, as Turkey’s president, Recep Erdogan, is one of the most anti-semitic and anti-Israel leaders on the world stage today. So, is he allying with Russia and Iran like the prophecy says that he will in the latter days? It was recently reported that Erdogan agreed to meet with 2 world leaders at a summit in Istanbul to discuss cooperation in Syria. Can you guess who the two leaders were? Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. WOW.

Russia, Iran, and Turkey are allying together against Israel, just like Almighty God said that they would thousand of years ago. Now while these 3 leaders may not agree on everything, and may have different agendas in Syria, they don’t want to allow any strains among them to work to the United States’ or Israel’s advantage; not only in Syria, but in the Middle East region as a whole. Besides the 3 main players in Gog-Magog, we see some less powerful nations that join the fight alongside Russia, Iran, and Turkey, against Israel.

They are Lebanon, Libya, Ethiopia,and Yemen. Does the Lebanon of today ally with the big three, like they do in God’s Word? Remember when I mentioned Iran’s proxy “Hezbollah”? Their home just so happens to be LEBANON, on the border of Israel. Hezbollah celebrated the shoot-down of the Israeli F-16, saying that it marked the start of a “new strategic era against Israel.” Ok, so we see that Lebanon is ready for war with Israel. How about Libya? Where do they stand in the conflict? Well for starters, anyone who follows the Middle East knows that they are anti-Israel.

Also, Russia’s Putin has been increasing his nation’s MILITARY influence there. So, I think it’s safe to say that Russia and Libya are allies. How about Ethiopia? Are they with Russia and the Islamists, as the Bible predicts they will be, or are they with Israel? Do you all remember that anti-Israel United Nations vote last year? It just so happened to be called for by TURKEY, ETHIOPIA, and YEMEN. So, we now see how Yemen fits in the prophecy perfectly as well.

I don’t believe that ever before in history has Ezekiel’s prophecy been playing out as accurately as it is in our day and age. But what about Syria? Why aren’t they a part of the Confederacy against Israel? How can they not be?? The reason that they are not is because Syria is destroyed before the Gog-Magog War begins. The destruction of this major ally of Russia, Iran, Turkey, and the rest, may be the trigger that starts the battle. Listen to what God says about Syria’s fate in the “Last Days” –

“DAMASCUS (Capital of Syria) is waxed feeble, and turns herself to flee, and fear has seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail. How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy! Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be CUT OFF in that day, saith the Lord of hosts. And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad, saith The LORD.” ~ Jeremiah 49:24-27

“The burden of DAMASCUS. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a RUINOUS HEAP, saith The LORD.” ~ Isaiah 17:1

I think it’s easy to understand why Syria won’t be fighting alongside the enemies of Israel in the War. God may destroy Syria Himself, or He may just allow Israel and America to do the job. Syria’s Foreign Minister just threatened “more surprises facing Israel, should it again attack Syrian territory”. Also issuing bold threats against Israel AND America, concerning our involvement in Syria, is of course Iran.

General Hossein Salami, a military commander of the country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards, warned that Iran will “open the gates of Hell over Israel”, and “could destroy all American bases in the region.” Being Islamic, he has obviously never read OUR God’s Word, which prophesies that it is the Iranians who will “GO DOWN into the pits of Hell”. The only one opening the gates of Hell will be the LORD, in order to swallow Israel’s enemies up!

How anyone, believer or not, could read the information which I have laid out today, and not believe that we are in the season of the Gog-Magog War is beyond me. It is like the pages of the Holy Bible are playing out like a film before our very eyes. A film to which we already know the ending to. That ending is, of course, that ISRAEL WINS. Yes, despite the much larger armies coming against that tiny little nation, God HIMSELF defends Israel.

Russia, Iran, Turkey, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, and Ethiopia will all FALL at the Mighty Hand of the LORD. If you don’t believe me, just read the many Biblical verses I have compiled below. One extremely significant verse in Ezekiel’s Prophecy says that Russia and its allies will “fall on the MOUNTAINS of Israel.”

What’s so interesting about this is that the area of land on Israel’s Syrian border, where the Israeli conflict with Iran and Syria is taking place today, is a mountainous region. The Golan Heights and Mount Hermon are “mountains of Israel” in God’s Word. If Russia were to lead a campaign against Israel today, THIS Syrian border is undoubtedly where they would attack from! How accurate is the Holy Bible?!

One particular proven fact of God’s Word is that, just as Israel has miraculously won every unwinnable war in the past, they will do so again in the future. The LORD God of Israel, Himself, always fights FOR THEM. I believe Israel knows this, and that is why leaders like their Defence Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, can boldly say “There are no limitations, and nor do we accept any limitations. This is not the time to bark, this is the TIME TO BITE.”

“Thus saith The LORD.. I will CONTEND with them that contend with ISRAEL…” ~ Isaiah 49:25

“For the day of The LORD is near upon all the heathen: as (the nations) have done (unto ISRAEL), it shall be DONE unto (the NATIONS)…” ~ Obadiah 1:15

“Let them ALL be confounded and turned back that HATE ZION.” ~ Psalm 129:5

“The Lord roars from Zion, and from Jerusalem raises His Voice.. The Lord is a REFUGE to His people, a Stronghold to the men of ISRAEL.” ~ Joel 4:16

“Thus saith The Lord GOD… Behold, I Am AGAINST Gog, the chief (RUSSIAN) prince of Meshech and Tubal… Gog shall come up against My people ISRAEL as a cloud to cover the Land; it shall be in the LATTER DAYS; and I will bring him against My Land, that the heathen may KNOW ME, when I shall be sanctified in Gog, before their eyes… And it shall come to pass at the SAME TIME when Gog shall come against the Land of Israel, saith The Lord GOD, that My FURY shall come up in My Face. For in My Jealousy and in the fire of My WRATH have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the Land of Israel; And I will plead AGAINST Gog with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, FIRE AND BRIMSTONE… Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall KNOW that I Am The LORD… And I will send a FIRE upon Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall KNOW that I Am The LORD… So will I make My Holy Name known in the midst of MY people Israel… Persia (IRAN), Ethiopia, and Libya with Gog (RUSSIA), all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah (TURKEY) of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with them (Islamic Confederacy-Psalm 83)… They shall FALL upon the mountains of Israel, you (Russia), and ALL your bands, and the people that is with you: I will give you unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to BE DEVOURED. You shall fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith The Lord GOD.” ~ Ezekiel 38 & 39

“There is Elam (IRAN)… which caused their TERROR in the land of the living; yet they will bear their shame with them that GO DOWN to the pit (Hell).” ~ Ezekiel 32:24

“Thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, I Am AGAINST you, O Zidon (LEBANON), and I will be glorified in the midst of you: and they shall KNOW that I Am The LORD, when I shall have executed JUDGMENTS in you. For I will send into you pestilence, and blood into your streets; and the wounded shall be JUDGED in the midst of you by the sword upon you on every side; and you shall KNOW that I Am The LORD. And there shall be no more a pricking brier (HEZBOLLAH) unto the house of ISRAEL, nor any grieving thorn of ALL that are round about them, that despised them; and Israel shall KNOW that I Am The Lord GOD.” ~ Ezekiel 28:22-24

“There be ALL the Zidonians (HEZBOLLAH) which are gone DOWN with the slain; with their TERROR they are ashamed of their might.. and bear their SHAME with them that GO DOWN to the pit (Hell).” ~ Ezekiel 32:30
