THE DAILY WIRE reports: Megyn Kelly, Piers Morgan, and others blew up on social media after the Algerian boxer Imane Khelif – who failed gender tests – was named female Olympic champion.
At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris on Friday, Khelif was awarded the gold in the women’s welterweight final boxing match, prompting immediate reactions.
The host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast blasted the move writing, in all caps, about how unfair it was that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded a boxer with XY chromosomes the gold medal.
“Don’t you see? Don’t you see what this insanity is doing to women?” she wrote. “WHY DO GIRLS HAVE TO SHARE THEIR BATHROOMS W/BOYS? LOCKER ROOMS? THEIR SPORTS? THEIR PRISONS?”
“WHY DO 4TH GRADE BOYS HAVE TO SHARE THEIRS W/GIRLS (AND THEIR TAMPONS) IN MN? NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL, SAFE OR FAIR.”
“To the media who have FAILED WOMEN AT EVERY TURN on this boxing story and virtually EVERY trans story: SHAME ON YOU ALL,” Kelly continued.
Piers Morgan called Khelif being named the women’s champion a “travesty.”
“From Emmeline Pankhurst to this… where are the feminists of the world now, as the hard-fought rights of women get so shamefully destroyed?” Morgan said.
“BREAKING: A biological male just won an Olympic Gold medal in a women’s boxing competition. Congrats to everyone who supported this travesty,” he added.
When someone tried to claim the boxer was female, Morgan shut them down by pointing out facts. “Imane was banned from the World Championships after testing positive for having male XY chromosomes.”
“Imane didn’t appeal it. If Imane is a biological woman, Imane should take another test now and prove it. Spoiler alert: he won’t.” Piers said.
Former collegiate female swimmer and vocal advocate for women’s rights in sports, Riley Gaines, wrote on X, “Khelif (XY) has dominated the World Champion Lang Liu (XX) to win Olympic gold.”
“Let me repeat that: a MALE has taken a WOMAN’S Olympic gold,” Gaines wrote.
“They call this ‘progress,’” she said. “It is the ultimate betrayal of fairness, safety, and women by IOC (International Olympic Committe).”… (Continue reading)
