Just a few weeks after penning a thorough history of Hamas, Israel’s terrorist enemy on their southern border with Gaza, I felt the need to educate people about their other terrorist enemy on the northern border – Hezbollah. Before I begin, it’s imperative to understand who’s really behind the terrorism of Hamas and Hezbollah: IRAN.
The Islamic Regime in Tehran has always been the serpent spreading terror across the globe and they have spent decades creating a two-headed snake to wage war on Israel, their greatest enemy. Iran funds and equips both Hamas and Hezbollah with the firepower and resources needed to fulfill their quest of “wiping Israel off the map.”
Though they reside in Lebanon, Hezbollah was actually created through the Iranian revolution and share the same theocratic Islamic ideology as the regime in Tehran. Hamas, on the otherhand, while still holding similar radical beliefs, was birthed through Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood terror organization. And while they come from different Islamic tribes, Hamas being Sunni and Hezbollah being Shi’ite, Iran has united them as allies in the common goal of destroying the Jewish State of Israel.
The reason I felt a pressing need to write this article is because the potential for Israel being forced into a two-front war grows greater each day. Ever since the atrocious and barbaric October 7th terror attack on Israel by Hamas, Hezbollah has been provoking the Jewish State with rocket fire on the northern border. They are obviously trying to pull as many Israeli troops as possible from Gaza in the war with Hamas.
Hezbollah’s leader, Hassan Nasrallah, has publicly called Hamas their ally against Israel, and has pledged to aid their fellow terror group throughout the Israel-Hamas war. Since October 8th, Hezbollah has fired over 3,000 rockets into the Jewish State to complement Hamas’ 14,000 in the same time frame. This may lead some to believe that Hezbollah is not as capable militarily to fight Israel (no one is thanks be to God), but they are actually the most heavily armed non-state actor in the world today.
Iran provides an estimated $700-million per year to the terror group, according to the U.S. State Department. And through Tehran, Hezbollah currently has an arsenal of at least 150,000 warheads. Some estimates even put it up as high as 200,000. This means that they could fire hundreds, or even a few thousand, rockets at Israel DAILY. In comparison, the combined arsenal of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad is estimated to be between 15,000 to 20,000 rockets.
If Israel does enter into a war with Hezbollah, like their current one with Hamas, it will most definitely be an unprecedented two-front war of Biblical proportions that the Jewish State hasn’t seen in half-a-century. At the end of the day, it all is paving the way for the Rapture and the imminent return of our Lord to save Israel from their many enemies who come against them regionally and abroad.

(1982-1991)
Hezbollah was formed in 1982 by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran. In its first decade of existence, Hezbollah waged war on Israel by using suicide attacks against the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli targets across the region and world.
(1992-1997)
March 7, 1992: Suicide bomber murders 29 and injures over 240 at an Israeli Embassy.
July 1993: Terrorists fire over 150 rockets into Israel, murdering 2 and injuring dozens.
November 1995: Terrorists bombard northern Israel with numerous rocket barrages.
March-April 1996: Terrorists launched about 640 rockets into Israel, injuring dozens of innocent civilians.
August 1997: Terrorists fire dozens of rockets into northern Israel.
2000
October 7: Terrorists kidnap 3 IDF soldiers.
November 26: Terrorists murder an IDF soldier and wound 2 others in a convoy bombing.
2001
February 16: Terrorists open fire on an IDF convoy, murdering 1 and injuring 3.
April 1: Terrorists stab a 42-year-old Israeli woman to death in a Hezbollah “initiation rite.”
April 14: Terrorists murder an IDF soldier.
April 28: Terrorists stab a 60-year-old Israeli man to death.
2002
March 12: Terrorists shoot and murder 6 Israelis.

July-August: The 2006 Lebanon War was triggered by the kidnapping of 2 IDF soldiers. During the war, the terrorists fired over 4,000 rockets into Israel. Over 160 Israelis were murdered and over 2,600 were injured.

2023
