DISGRACEFUL: Republican Congress And President Fully Fund Planned Parenthood… AGAIN

In the wee hours of Friday morning, the Republican-led U.S. Congress passed a $1.3 trillion fiscal 2018 Omnibus Bill to avert a government shutdown. I actually wish that the government WOULD shut down, permanently, as the Party which is supposed to represent God-fearing Americans is not doing their job. They have not been for a long time.

For at least the 4th time that I can count, since the 2016 Election, a Republican government has passed a Bill which fully funds baby-murdering Planned Parenthood. Also, for at least the 4th time in just over a year, the Republican President has signed the Bill into Law. What a DISGRACE. While a little over 100 Congressional Republicans did oppose the Bill, voting against it, nearly 200 voted FOR IT.

Now, you would think that would be the other way around. Sadly, the numbers don’t lie. The moral fabric of the once wholesome Grand Ole Party is in tatters. They TALK a good game against abortion while being interviewed on Cable News programs, and while campaigning for your vote, but as soon as they take office – NO ACTION.

Instead of maybe chopping away at Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding during the Trump Presidency, with the thought that defunding it altogether would be difficult, the GOP has consistently funded Planned Parenthood IN FULL. The abortion giant will receive another $500+ million from the federal government in 2018.

Though virtually every Republican in the Country ran on defunding Planned Parenthood in 2016, and in every election cycle for that matter, PP has received just as much funding under this Republican President as they did under Obama. President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin) have all went on record numerous times promising to defund Planned Parenthood.

Yet, every time their Party has the opportunity to do so, absolutely nothing happens. There is absolutely nothing preventing them from keeping their promise. The Republicans have control of the White House and both chambers of Congress. Still, as President Trump signed the Omnibus Bill this afternoon, Planned Parenthood will continue to be funded until September 30th by this Republican government.

With how unfaithful the GOP has been to voters thus far, I don’t know how anyone could expect anything different come October 1st. The Republicans need to grow a backbone before then, and actually pretend like they are being held accountable to us voters. If they let September 30th pass without taking any solid action toward defunding Planned Parenthood, then they will all deserve to lose big in November.

I won’t feel sorry for them, and won’t be the slightest bit disappointed. Because what good is voting for politicians who “claim” to oppose what you oppose, but then get in and cast their votes the exact opposite? I would never vote for a Democrat, so if Republicans keep this garbage up then I will just stay home in 2018 and 2020. I think at this point, a lot of believers feel that way.

Sadly, the GOP is the only alternative to the Demonic Democrat Party, so what are we voters to do when Republicans start governing like Democrats??? We are out of options. All I know is, regardless of their lip service which tickles the ears of Christians, the current Republican Party from the President on down are liars and deceivers. Maybe not on everything, but unquestionably on the issue of defunding Planned Parenthood.

We cannot continue to vote for these men and women simply because they have the “R” next to their name. We need to hold them all accountable. Every last one. If they don’t keep their promises, then don’t vote for them. Stay home. Maybe eventually they will learn their lesson. Given recent history though, I highly doubt it. There are only a handful of respectful politicians left in the GOP today, and one of them was my choice for President, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

He proved yesterday why he got my support in 2016. He voted against the Omnibus Bill for a list of reasons, but “not defunding Planned Parenthood” was at the top of his list. Cruz said, “The Bill continues to fund Planned Parenthood, a corrupt organization whose horrifying abortion practices should preclude it from receiving taxpayer dollars.” AMEN. Thank you Ted for being one of the elite few honest, principled, and God-fearing men left in our government.

Governor Mike Huckabee also chimed in with a powerful condemnation of the GOP – “The GOP funds Planned Parenthood again and thereby LIED to the voters again… The incumbent GOP members of Congress need to be ABORTED at election time. You have BOTH houses of Congress and WH. Do. Your. Job. NOW! #DefundPP #NoExcuses”

I couldn’t have said it any better. I renounced any and all allegiance to the Republican Party during the 2016 Primaries. I made crystal clear that I was a Christian Conservative voter who was not beholden to the GOP simply because I opposed the Dems. Flashforward to today, and I can’t even call myself a “Conservative” anymore because that label has been hijacked by moderates and libertarian Republicans. Everyone calls themself a “Conservative” these days, but they sure don’t govern like it.

Also, though I was firmly “Never Trump” during the 2016 Election, he has surprised me and has actually been more Conservative than the Republicans in Congress have been. He still has flaws, but his “Jerusalem Declaration” last year earned praise and my respect. I wish I could say the same for him concerning his “Defund Planned Parenthood” promise.

When Ronald Reagan left the Democrat Party, he said, “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party. The Party LEFT ME.” These same words are being uttered about the Republican Party today, and not just by me. I have witnessed a tremendous amount of backlash against President Trump and the GOP in the past 24 hours, even by some of their most ardent defenders and supporters.

I don’t know how long they think they will get away with blatantly breaking their most important promises to voters without repercussions. I believe they are going to get a rude awakening come November if they don’t take concrete moves to defund the nation’s largest abortion peddler. I have said it before in past articles, that the Republican Party had long been known as the “Christian Right” but sadly no more.

Today, the Party’s establishment is more worried about attracting the electorate that they don’t have (moderate Dems), rather than appealing to the faithful base (Holy Bible believers) that they have always had. The Grand Ole Party wants to change with the times, rather than have this generation change its morals and values to reflect the America of old.

God has always had one Party in this nation standing against the murder of the unborn, but unfortunately that is no longer the case. Speaking a big game means nothing to the LORD if you don’t back it up with deed. Republicans can shout how “pro-life” they are all day long, but if they are voting to fund Planned Parenthood for any reason whatsoever (and there is never a good one) then they are LIARS. Plain and simple.

In the most recent fiscal year report for Planned Parenthood, we learned that for every adoption referral which the organization made, it performed 82 abortions. The organization performed a total of 321,384 abortions, which would be nearly 900 PER DAY. It was also calculated that if PP had done abortion procedures around the clock for the entire year, it would have had to abort about 37 babies PER HOUR, one every 98 seconds, in order to reach their yearly total.

Think about that. A child of God loses its life at the hands of Planned Parenthood every minute and a half of every year. I know some Republicans like to say that this is a long game politically, and that they cannot defund Planned Parenthood overnight; but funding it, even for just 6 months, has DEADLY consequences. While a ½ year of funding the wicked organization may not seem like too big of a deal to some, at least 150,000 babies will lose their lives during that time.

Some may call this Omnibus Bill “kicking the can down the road”, never realizing that they are actually “killing babies up and down that road”. This Planned Parenthood issue is one that the President and Republicans cannot continue to cave on when it comes time to make deals with the Dems. Every time that Trump and Congressional Republicans give an inch and fund Planned Parenthood, even for one day, INNOCENT LIVES ARE LOST.

When innocent lives are at stake there should be no kicking the can, no deal-making, and no compromise. There needs to be a firm line drawn in the sand, and “pro-life” politicians need to start saying, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We won’t allow any more babies to be murdered.” Not one inch should be given. Currently, our elected officials are not paying attention to us, or they simply don’t care. Either is not acceptable.

I beseech you all to contact President Trump, Vice President Pence, your Senators, and Congressmen, and tell them that your vote is not guaranteed in November. Tell them that it must be EARNED. None of their jobs should be safe until they DO THEIR JOB, and DEFUND Planned Parenthood!!!
