WORST Election Ever: Why I’m #NeverEVERYBODY This November

Anyone who has read any of my political articles knows how disenfranchised I have been with this Election. In many of those articles, I have said that I planned to vote my values this November and write-in Ted Cruz. His platform was the most Biblically-inspired that I’ve ever seen. Last week, after months of political pressure, Cruz endorsed Donald Trump. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t greatly disappointed. It seems virtually impossible in today’s day and age to find a politician who puts Biblical conscience and values over politics. I really thought Ted was that guy, but sadly his decision strikes me as politically motivated and not conscience driven. So now what? What is a Biblical-minded Conservative to do? How are we to vote? I personally couldn’t wait for 2016 to vote AGAINST Hillary Clinton. I loathe her and what she stands for about as much as I do Barack Hussein Obama. Unfortunately, I now find myself in the position with no one to vote FOR.

Liberalism has become a dominating trend within American politics throughout the past decade, which means nothing but BAD choices of candidates for believers. So called “Conservative” politicians and pundits have rapidly moved to the political middle, to the point where a Right-Wing party may not exist by 2020. It seems as if it doesn’t exist now. In my eyes, the Republican Party has turned it’s back on it’s most loyal base of voters, Christian Conservatives. It has become clear, that in 2016, NEITHER of the nation’s major Political Parties desire to put GOD FIRST. The Republican Establishment seems to think that they can get away with moving the Party as far to the Left as they wish, because of the “unifying” rally cry to “Beat Hillary at all costs”. They are grossly mistaken. Abandoning my Biblical values and beliefs to achieve political victory is a cost I’m certainly never willing to pay.

My eyes have really opened this Election year, and though what I’ve been awakened to see really saddens me, I’m glad to no longer be a pawn in a political game any longer. My family has always voted Republican. It was in our blood. The reason being that the GOP (Grand Ole Party) had always stood up for our Christian beliefs and values. Much of the Party, though not all Holy Bible thumpers themselves, seemed to genuinely have a fear of God and a desire to put Him FIRST. For decades, the same could not be said for the Democrat Party. Sadly, today, it appears as if political gain, greed, and hunger for power have replaced a reverent fear of God in the Republican Party. Sure many of them get on the television and tell us that they will fight for the issues that matter to us, but at the end of the day, they do not.

Look at the issue of Gay Marriage, which is barely even a debate anymore, and you’ll find that most notable Republicans say we should “move on”. Or look at the abortion issue, and though MOST Republicans love to shout they are “pro-life”, they pass bills in Congress that fund Planned Parenthood (like they just did THIS WEEK). It’s shameful. There was always the saying that politicians would do or say anything to get elected, and I thought it applied only to Democrats, but I was wrong. It isn’t just the politicians who have so willingly changed with the popular opinion of our society though, it is also the Republican voters. For instance, at the Republican National Convention, we witnessed a Gay Rights activist get CHEERED for condemning Christian values in the GOP Platform, while one night earlier, we saw a champion defender of those values, Ted Cruz, get BOOED by the same crowd.

The Republican Party, a majority of the mainstream Conservative media (I’m talking to you FOX News), and in turn the GOP voters, appear to have placed fiscal issues over Faith, politics over principle, and Party gain over Spiritual growth. That is why the GOP is NOT my Party anymore. I always felt at home with the Republican Party in the political realm, but no longer. Republican and Conservative are no longer synonymous. And I’m probably going to surprise a lot of you when I say that I DON’T blame Donald Trump for the demise of the GOP. Donald never claimed to be a staunch Christian Conservative. Everyone knew the kind of man that he was, and that’s a former liberal with “New York Values”. I don’t fault him for the decline of the Party’s values, because he just filled the void.

We cannot expect this Nation to return to it’s Godly Heritage when we have so many Christian leaders abandoning our convictions, values, principles and morals, in order to elect a candidate who could “possibly” fight for SOME of them. Christians should only be endorsing political candidates who will fight for ALL of the above. Why should we settle for anything less? Yet, sadly, that is what much of the American Church has done politically for years… SETTLE. The Republican Party will never nominate a Godly candidate for President until we Christians DEMAND ONE, and sadly, many of us are NOT. And to everyone out there saying, “We’re electing a president not a pope”, or, “This is a democracy, not a theocracy”, I want to remind you that the Holy Bible instructs us to elect GODLY men to be our leaders.

No Republican, no Democrat, nor Donald Trump will ever be able to “make America great again” until they realize that in order to do that, we, as a nation must “make GOD GREAT in America again”. Until the nation returns humbly to HIM, and repents for the many years of backsliding, wickedness, and abominations, NOTHING in this Nation will change for the better. I mean absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G! We cannot make America “great” without putting God FIRST. Unfortunately, this November, Christians are forced to choose between two candidates who think otherwise.

Hillary Clinton will continue to drive America down Obama’s Biblically-hostile path, and Donald Trump personally OPPOSES many of the Conservative policies within the Party Platform. Many Christians mention the platform as their reasoning to vote for Trump, or “Supreme Court justices”, but if he has publicly opposed those policies, what makes you think he’ll uphold them or fight for them as President?! This is where many will answer, “Well MAYBE he will, as opposed to Hillary, who we know WON’T”. This is what angers me about today’s American Political system. Why are we at the point where we are voting for someone who MIGHT uphold Biblical values? We should have the choice of a candidate who WILL! Sadly, we have the unruly, populist Republican Primary voters to thank for that (which included some “evangelical Christians”).

This Election has left me and so many of my Christian friends and family with a huge dilemma. How do we let our voice be heard this November, concerning the future of this once great God-fearing Nation, if we cannot in good conscience support ANY of the Presidential nominees? This is truly a “pick your poison” election, and as I’ve said before, I’m not playing the “lesser of two evils” game anymore! So, after careful deliberation and prayer, I have decided to sit this Presidential Election out. I really didn’t want to, as I believe voting is a right we should take full advantage of, but as I stated earlier, I need someone to vote FOR, and have found no one. I know that many will say, “to not vote is a vote for Hillary”, but it is most certainly NOT. My “none of the above” vote represents a vote AGAINST ALL of the current horrible candidates, AND against the Political Parties they represent. I will however still examine my State’s down ballot candidates and vote for whoever I find that shares my Christian Conservative views. As far as the big game goes though, I respectfully bow out. I have no horse in the race.

For all of the reasons that I cannot bring myself to vote for Trump, and why I could never in a million years consider voting Hillary, read my past Political articles. Also, no one waste your time trying to sell me on anyone in the garbage pail of Third Party candidates. They are just as horrible as Trump and Hillary. Gary Johnson has said, “I am NOT a Social Conservative in ANY way, shape, or form.” Darrell Castle, says that “no further funds will be appropriated for ISRAEL.” Jill Stein says that “Religious Freedom” is a surrogate for patriarchal domination, and she is unapologetically ANTI-Israel. Evan McMullin stated that he will NOT fight to overturn Gay Marriage, said it is the “law of the Land”, and that he would leave it as such.

So, though I started this Election cycle #NeverHillary and #NeverTrump, I’ve now become #NeverEVERYBODY. This truly has got to be the absolute WORST Presidential Election EVER for Christian Conservatives. At the end of the day, I’m not telling anyone else how to vote. I’m just venting my frustrations with the political system which has become so biased against Holy Bible believers. One piece of advice I do have for all of you though, is to NOT continue to look to the Republican Party to fix this nation any longer. They obviously no longer care about returning this nation to The LORD, instead they seem content adapting to this Godless society. If we Christians really want to see this nation return to God, it starts NOT at the ballot box, NOT in Washington D.C., but at our OWN front doors.
