President Donald Trump promised to nominate Conservative Judges to the highest Court in the land, and I believe that is one of the biggest reasons why he was elected President. Trump chose Judge Brett Kavanaugh, but he was far from being my first choice to fill Justice Anthony Kennedy’s vacant seat on the U.S. Supreme Court.
In my opinion, Kavanaugh is much more “Moderate” politically than he is “Conservative.” I would much rather have seen Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Mike Lee, or Judge Amy Coney Barrett nominated by the President. I believe they were the truest Conservatives on the President’s List of SCOTUS picks. So, initially, I was unhappy with Trump’s choice.
A lot can change in the span of a few months, let alone – in one week.
In my previous article, I came to Kavanaugh’s defense because of the slew of mostly false allegations being thrown at him by Democrats. The majority of the accusations have already been proven false, while a few simply don’t have enough evidence to prove guilt or innocence one way or the other. That is why I have chosen, given all of the testimonies from both sides, to support Judge Kavanaugh.
In America, and especially Biblically, a human being is to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. The only exception was our Holy Lord Jesus Christ. Though innocent, He had to become guilty on our behalf; because we are all poor sinners, and the penalty for being guilty of uncleansed sin is not just death – but eternal separation from an All-Holy God.
Thus, Jesus – Who knew no sin – became “our sin” for us and bore the guilt and punishment in our stead. Though 100% pure, innocent, sinless, and Holy, He heaped upon Himself all of our most vilest, most abominable, and seemingly unforgivable sins. By doing so, He could reconcile us all to our Holy Father in Heaven by His Sacrifice.
If not for our innocent Lord becoming guilty of crimes He did not, and could not, ever commit – we’d all be spending eternity in Hell. Thus, in His last moments in the body of a mortal man on the Cross, He became separated from His Father in Heaven for the first time ever. Thanks be to God, being the Son of God, He was not eternally separated as we would be. Still, just a few hours separated from YHWH must have felt like eternity for our Lord.
Where am I going with this? You may be wondering what it has to do with Judge Kavanaugh. The point is that Jesus is the only innocent Man Who could ever be presumed guilty in human history, and that was part of God’s Plan for our eternal salvation. Every other human being on earth must be judged justly, and must be presumed innocent until guilt is proven.
No such guilt has been proven against Kavanaugh.
On the contrary, all of the witnesses named by his main accusers, Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, have HELPED the case for his innocence – not hurt it. All of the main witnesses have refuted and denied the claims of Kavanaugh’s accusers, facing the serious penalty of felony if they were lying. Not one of the witnesses, not some of the witnesses, ALL of the witnesses.
This makes the Biblical case for Christians to presume Judge Kavanaugh’s innocence.
In Deuteronomy 19:15, we are taught that “A single witness shall not suffice against a person for ANY crime or for ANY wrong in connection with ANY offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of TWO witnesses or of THREE witnesses shall a charge be established.” Yet, today, the lamestream liberal media and the Democrats are willing to lynch a man on the testimony of Christine Blasey Ford alone.
They are breaking God’s Law by doing so, and I believe they are doing so for strictly political reasons. Shame on all of them. To all of you liberal believers who want to say, that’s Old Testament Law.. Jesus never said that.. I only believe what Jesus taught! Newsflash: Jesus taught the same Law of Deuteronomy 19:15. He said, in Matthew 18:16, “every matter should be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
If that still isn’t enough for you Kavanaugh haters, read Deuteronomy 17:6, Numbers 35:30, John 8:17, 2nd Corinthians 13:1, 1st Timothy 5:19, and Hebrews 10:28. God is crystal clear that someone is not to be found guilty by the accusation of only one other human being. Guilt absolutely must be established by more than one witness.
God made this Law to protect every single one of us, even you liberals and Dems who have already decided in your mind that Kavanaugh is guilty because you “stand with women.” Any of us can have an enemy accuse us of the most despicable of crimes. What protects us from defamation and criminal punishment, which would come as a result of the accusation from another, is God’s perfect Law.
The allegations must be proven true by more than one person. Period. In Christine Blasey Ford’s case, and in Deborah Ramirez’s case, the opposite has occurred. More than two or three witnesses have disputed their claims, NOT confirmed them. Thus, any God-fearing person must assume – given all of the evidence before us – that Judge Brett Kavanaugh is innocent.
Now, things may change. More witnesses may come forward in support of the women, or maybe the current witnesses lied and perjured themselves, but I highly doubt it. Like Judge Kavanaugh said in his Hearing, it is very possible that Ford was a victim of the assault which she has claimed; but most likely by someone other than Kavanaugh.
I honestly don’t know if I even believe that though. Everything surrounding her claims – the way they were thrust into the media at the 11th hour by Democrats, the fact she is a Psychologist who teaches on emotional and social behavior, the claim by her ex-boyfriend that she teaches others how to pass lie-detector tests, the fact that she has attended anti-Republican marches and supports Planned Parenthood which has opposed Kavanaugh from the outset, and for the reason that not one of her so-called witnesses remember anything like what she describes – just doesn’t add up in her favor.
It all actually makes her accusation very uncredible and seems very politically calculated by the Dems to prevent a Conservative being appointed to the Supreme Court before the Midterm Elections. If that is the case, hopefully the American people will finally have their eyes opened to the wicked scheming – unjust ways – crooked politics – and immoral plotting of the Democrats.
If they are willing to deceive, lie, obstruct, and prop us false accusers, in order to preserve a liberal SCOTUS while destroying a man’s life in the process… I hope that every last one of them will be voted out in November and in 2020.
Now, is it possible that Kavanaugh is lying and Ford is telling the truth? Anything is possible. But right now, the facts on the ground and the witnesses do not support that possibility. As to whether or not Kavanaugh drank heavily in High School and College, or threw ice on someone at a bar over 30 years ago… that is completely irrelevant today.
If I, currently a Christian God-fearing man, were judged for who I USED TO BE 10 years ago – I’d be guilty as hell. Most of us would be. The reason we become Christians, in the first place, is because we come to the realization that we are poor sinners who need to repent – come to Jesus our Saviour – get washed of our sins – get saved – change our ways – and begin to live our lives for God.
Show me a Christian who wasn’t a sinner before they came to Christ, and I would be looking at an alien life-form. Christians are sinners saved by grace. Everyone else is just a SINNER. So I pass no judgment on what Brett Kavanaugh did 36 years ago. If he repented of it, sought forgiveness, and got right with God, then I’ll stand up for the guy. I would hope that he and all of you would do the same for me.
2nd Corinthians 5:17 teaches that we become a “new creation” when we come to Christ. That applies to everyone and, yes, even everyone in Washington D.C.. All believers put our old selves to death, at the foot of the Cross of Christ, and are “born again” from that moment forth. Period. End of story. So, CNN and the rest can keep airing “shocking” news stories about Kavanaugh’s “crazy drunken youth” all they want.
To Holy Bible-believing Christians, these stories should mean absolutely nothing. We should be concerned about the life that Brett Kavanaugh currently leads. Is he a faithful husband? A loving father? A fair judge? A God-fearing man? If the answer to all of these questions is “yes,” then why are any of you still debating if he should be on the Supreme Court? He absolutely should be.
I have been so sick of watching the Dems and liberal media trying to defame him 24-7. I’m sick of watching all of the liberal protesters shouting, cussing, threatening, harassing, and rioting. I normally don’t give much props to moderate Republicans in my articles, as I’m as Conservative as you can get, but God bless Senators like Lindsey Graham and Orrin Hatch for standing up to the Godless bullies on the Left.
When the Dems don’t get their way, they act like children; and I loved when Hatch told a loud, obnoxious, “pro-choice” protester to “GROW UP.” I’m praying that all Senators and Republicans begin to grow the same backbone. I’m praying that Judge Brett Kavanaugh will get confirmed to the Supreme Court. And this November, I’m praying that the American people will put the childish Dems in “time out,” until they all GROW UP.
