This week, for the first time, House Democrats formally introduced an Article of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. They are accusing him of obstructing justice during a Federal investigation into Russia. This impeachment effort will go nowhere, as a majority vote is needed in the House, which is currently controlled by the Republican Party. Still, there is an active investigation against Trump, his family, and administration officials (current and former) and campaign staff, being led by special counsel, Robert Mueller.
So, while impeachment may seem like a long shot right now, it’s not completely out of the picture. I actually would welcome an impeachment of President Trump, and the Democrats had better be careful what they wish for. The Democrats right now, as much as they despise him as a man, have the most left-leaning liberal Republican President in decades. If they were to impeach him, his Vice President Mike Pence would take over as the 46th President of the USA, and that would be a very good thing for Conservative Christians.
While I have my misgivings about Pence, especially because he caved to LGBT bullies over an Indiana Religious Freedom Bill while serving as the State’s Governor, I have far less concerns with Pence than I have with Trump. At least Pence actually made the effort to pass a Bill protecting Christians and Jews from the LGBT Mafia forcing their Godless agenda upon us. Trump on the other hand has made no such effort, but rather has filled the ranks of his Administration with PRO-LGBT advocates!
I could never envision Mike Pence doing such things. I believe all of them would be thrown out of the White House on day one of a Pence Presidency. The official 2016 Republican Platform, which most Conservatives who held their noses and voted for Trump expected the President to govern by, implicitly states that the Party intends to REVERSE the Supreme Court decision which legalized Gay Marriage. Yet, President Trump has appeared to strongly oppose fulfilling this important Republican promise to voters.
In regard to the Gay Marriage ruling, Trump has said that legalized homosexual marriage is “settled law”, that he is “fine with it”, and that we should “move on”. On top of that, as I mentioned, he has appointed numerous men and women to his Administration who SUPPORT Gay Marriage and advocate for FORCING Christians to accept it.
Just today, his Press Secretary Sean Spicer resigned after voicing opposition to Trump’s new White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. Why on earth would Trump loyalist Spicer have such a problem with a Trump appointee? I’m thinking it’s probably because of what Scaramucci told the BBC in a November interview, when he said, “I’m a Gay Rights activist. You can look it up.”
He went on to say, “I’ve given to American Unity PAC, I’ve given to the Human Rights Campaign, I’m FOR Same-Sex Marriage. And by the way, this’ll be the FIRST Republican President in U.S. history that enters the White House with a PRO-Gay Rights stance.” What is a man like this doing in a Republican administration? Did he not read the Party Platform?? He wouldn’t be the first to not do so. I don’t think Trump himself has read it.
Upon taking Office, the President announced that he reinstated the Obama administration’s “International LGBT Envoy” Randy Berry. Berry’s job entails promoting acceptance of homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism abroad “in the name of U.S. foreign policy”. HUH? Family Research Council president, Tony Perkins, commented on this shocking act by the President, saying that “Keeping Berry only signals to the world that the extreme agenda of the Obama years is still deeply entrenched in the State Department.”
It sure does look that way. Trump’s Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson was responsible in 2013 for pressuring the Boy Scouts of America to allow Gay scout leaders and gay scouts. A few months ago, Trump appointed another LGBT activist to his Administration, Richard Grenell. The appointment made Grenell the highest-ranking open homosexual serving in the Trump administration. He is a staunch supporter of Gay Marriage, and regularly criticizes “loud Religious-Right activists” (LIKE ME).
The President also appointed Betsy DeVos as his Secretary of Education. Devos used her political connections to persuade Michigan Republicans to sign a brief urging the Supreme Court to legalize Same-Sex Marriage in 2015. Funny, I thought that this was supposed to be a “Republican” Administration? It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear people call this one of the most “Conservative” Administrations in a long time. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I can’t imagine that Pence, who staunchly opposes Gay Marriage, would make the same kind of disgraceful appointments nor that he would keep these current liberals in his administration. Pence was known as a “culture warrior” in Congress, who strongly opposed abortion, the LGBT agenda, and discrimination against Holy Bible believers. That is the kind of President that we need in the White House.
He is certainly no Ted Cruz, but he is most definitely an upgrade for Conservatives from the current liberal “New York values” businessman sitting in the nation’s highest office. If Trump’s alliance with the LGBT Mafia is not enough to convince you that Pence would be a better Commander-in-Chief, then maybe their clear and distinctive positions on our greatest Ally, Israel, will.
This week, Trump’s State Department released its annual report on “Terrorism Trends”, in which the Administration blames ISRAEL for Palestinian terror. Un-freakin-believable. Now many are coming to Trump’s defense on this, saying that some members of the State Department are Obama holdovers, but my response is WHY are they still there?! If this is a new administration, which is supposed to be correcting all of the Obama administration’s foreign policy errors, then why are the same faces of Obama’s cabinet still serving in Trump’s??
There is no excuse. They should have been gone on DAY ONE. Yet, almost a year later, they are still there promoting their anti-Israel worldview in our State Department. The new report states, “Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank, settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, the perception that the Israeli government was changing the status quo on the Temple Mount, and IDF tactics that the Palestinians considered overly aggressive,” are to blame to for Palestinian terrorism.
It goes on to promote more falsehoods, “Explicit calls for violence against Israelis, direct exhortations against Jews, and categorical denials by the PA of the possibility of peace with Israel are RARE and the leadership does not generally tolerate it.” WOW. Is the State Department’s intention to take the facts on the ground, and to document the exact OPPOSITE?
Absolutely nothing in the report is true, and seems to be written directly by a Hamas terrorist in Gaza. Nothing in that report signals that Israel is America’s greatest Ally, but rather paints the Jewish State as our enemy. The actual facts on the ground are that the Palestinians’ Fatah leadership regularly incites terror against Israeli Jews. Their schoolbooks teach children to murder the Jew and drive them into the sea.
The official Facebook Page of the Palestinian government has been caught on numerous occasions, like just this week, of promoting “Days of Rage” and violent uprisings against Israeli police who guard Holy Sites. Not to mention, the Palestinian government celebrates, eulogizes, and pays the families of terrorists. The erroneous claims in the State Department report have been met with fierce criticism from my fellow pro-Israel advocates.
Members of Congress have formally called on the Trump administration to amend the report to “accurately” reflect the situation on the ground. Republican Peter Roskam of Illinois, the co-chair of the House Republican Israel Caucus, penned a letter to the Secretary of State, calling on the State Department to IMMEDIATELY amend it to accurately portray the real reasons for Palestinian terror attacks, and why they are a primary reason for an impasse in “peace talks”.
Roskam stated in the letter that, “The State Department report includes multiple findings that are both inaccurate and harmful. Most egregiously, it portrays the Palestinian Authority as ‘innocent peacemakers’ far removed from being the source of terrorist activity.. The PA not only tolerates terrorist attacks against Israelis, but it also incites, rewards, and memorializes those who carry out these horrific attacks.”
Another Congressman said, “This report is comically farcical and detached from reality. We expect efforts to whitewash history at Israel’s expense from the U.N., but not from our own State Department.” Speaking of whitewashing history, Trump’s administration has seemingly taken the same stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as the anti-Israel Obama administration, which is a DISGRACE.
Trump believes that Israel should give up some of its Holiest ancient God-given Land to appease the Palestinians for “peace”. In May, the Trump Administration announced that its much-promised plans to move the Embassy to Israel’s Eternal Capital of Jerusalem had been SCRAPPED. Trump said that there would be NO moving of the Embassy anytime soon because it could “harm the peace process” between Israel and Palestine.
On the Campaign trail, Trump promised countless times that he would be the President to finally move the embassy to Israel’s Capital, and that was obviously just a bold-faced LIE to get elected. Conservative Christians were up in arms, and we believed that Obama could be THE AntiChrist because of his obsession with the Israeli-Palestinian “Peace Process”; but NOW that it’s a “Republican” President trying to force Israel to give Land to the Palestinians, apparently it’s “a-ok” with my brothers and sisters who voted for Trump.
Those on the Right who support Trump’s “peace process”, for Israel and Palestine, are HYPOCRITES and should be ashamed. Now that Trump is in charge, many believers today see no problem with a “Land for Peace” Deal. So long as it is Trump doing the Deal. The LORD sharply warns in our Holy Bible that the division of Israel’s Holy Land will bring His Wrath and Judgment upon all nations that take part in the division.
Now, much like Obama, Trump appears to be leading the way for the DIVISION. One of his top officials made clear that his Administration does NOT recognize the Western Wall as “property of Israel”! The Administration also said that “JERUSALEM is a final status issue”, meaning that the Holy City is ON THE TABLE in any Peace Deal. This mirrors the anti-Israel Obama Administration policy, which states that Jerusalem does not belong to Israel (though it has been their God-given Capital for 3,000+ years).
When Obama held these positions about Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, we Christians were calling for impeachment. When Trump does it… crickets. I’m a lot more comfortable taking Pence’s word concerning Israel, then I have been Trump. Because the President has proved to be a liar. I truly believe that Pence, who just spake at the Christians United For Israel (CUFI) Convention, would move the Embassy without question.
All of these reasons I give today are why I’m just fine with Donald Trump being impeached. I just wish the Democrats and some “never Trump” Republicans would get serious and just make it happen already. Because if or when he is ever impeached, Vice President Pence would replace him. God forbid if something ever happened to Pence, the next in line would be House Speaker Paul Ryan, and if something happened to Ryan then Senator Orrin Hatch would assume the office of President.
Though, don’t worry, historically the line of succession has never gone beyond the VP. Pence is 58, and about a dozen years younger than Trump, so his age shouldn’t be a problem. Also, Pence describes himself as “a Christian, a Conservative, and a Republican – in that order.” These words by the Vice President are why I have no problem or beef with all of the impeachment talk. I say bring it on! Bring on PRESIDENT PENCE. Word of warning to the Dems though.. be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it! I pray that you DO get it, and get it SOON.
