DECISION 2016: The Presidential Candidates And Where They Stand On The Issues That Matter

At this late stage in the 2016 Race for the Presidency, I’m sure most of you know by now how utterly disappointed I am with our choices. It seems as if Christian Conservative voters have been left out of the 2016 Election altogether. For that reason, I cannot bring myself to vote for either of the major Party candidates, nor for any of the current 3rd Party options. Sadly, it really appears that liberalism is the dominating trend amongst the candidates this Year, and the only one who does not hold liberal views has an unfriendly foreign policy toward Israel. This is truly the Year of nothing but bad choices for Christians; a “pick your poison” Presidential Election. I myself have decided that my only viable option is to vote my conscience and Write-In Ted Cruz. I supported him in the Primaries because his beliefs and values mirrored my own, and since no current candidate on the ballot comes close, I’m going to stick with Ted. Call it a symbolic vote, a protest vote, or even as some Trumpers do, a “vote for Hillary” (which it most certainly is NOT), but to me it represents a vote AGAINST ALL of the current candidates.

Throughout this Election Season, I have written many detailed articles about the Republican and Democrat Candidates for President and where they stood on the issues that matter to Christian and Jewish Conservatives. Now, since we are down to just one nominee for each Party, and NEITHER is a champion of our values, I decided to examine where the 3rd Party candidates stood on the same issues. Unfortunately, they were by no means better, but mostly worse. I’ve heard a lot of talk in the #NeverTrump camp of voting for Gary Johnson or Darrell Castle, so I wanted to thoroughly vet them for my fellow Conservatives who are desperately searching for an alternative to Trump and Hillary. You will all come to see why I am unable to vote for them as well, and why, in this Election, I have become #NeverEverybody.

GARY JOHNSON: Libertarian Party

Gary Johnson is a former Republican, more accurately RINO, who left the Party because they were “too Conservative” for him. Johnson has said, “I am NOT a Social Conservative in any way, shape, or form.” He was right about that! He favors legalizing Gay Marriage across the United States, rather than leaving the issue up to the individual states. In 2013, he signed a petition to the Supreme Court to rule in favor of Gay Marriage, which they ultimately did. On Abortion, Johnson supports “a woman’s right to choose”, wants to keep abortion legal, and has been very vocal in these beliefs. He is also in favor of lowering the drinking age to 18, or eliminating the drinking age outright (UNBELIEVABLE). Finally, Johnson believes that marijuana should be legalized, regulated, and taxed, just like tobacco. Johnson sure isn’t someone Conservatives should be considering giving their vote to, as he is a liberal Democrat running as an Independent.

DARRELL CASTLE: Constitution Party

Many Conservatives really like Castle, and on the surface, he looked like a Candidate I could support, but all of his positives were outweighed by one really big negative. Castle’s Party opposes Gay Marriage, which is good; opposes pornography, also good; is Pro-Life and opposes federal funding of Planned Parenthood, another plus; Yet the Constitution Party Foreign Policy is farther to the Left than the Democrats! Castle has said, “the Pro-Israel lobby seems to control Congress, and Israel gets their money.” It’s very hard for me to understand how someone who shares so many of my Biblical values can also be “anti-Israel”. His Party Platform states that “no further funds will be appropriated for any kind of foreign aid program, including ISRAEL. America should have honest friendship with ALL nations, entangling alliances with NONE.” If Castle is FOR breaking America’s longstanding Alliance with God’s Chosen Nation, then I can NEVER ever consider giving him my vote.

JILL STEIN: Green Party

I’d never even heard of this loopy hippie chick before writing this article, but because she is listed as an official candidate, I had to make sure everyone knows just how dreadfully horrible she is on Conservative Issues. She is for Abortion, or as the liberals like to call it “a woman’s right to choose”. She was apparently the FIRST Pro-Gay-Marriage Candidate, and says that “Religious Freedom” is a surrogate for patriarchal domination. She opposes military assistance to Israel, and is one of the anti-Israel lefties that accuses the Jewish State of “war crimes, occupation, and violating human rights.” She also strongly pushes for the legalization of marijuana, and is an advocate for the violent racist “Black Lives Matter” group. Obviously, NO CHRISTIAN or Jew should ever vote for someone this Godless, but I’ve heard many say they are voting “Green Party” just to protest the GOP and Dems. Please get the word out, and make sure our brothers and sisters are informed about how EVIL this Party is!

DONALD TRUMP: Republican Party

Then there was Trump. I’ve written many articles about why I do not and cannot support him, but here is a rundown. Donald Trump has taken the same position as Liberal Democrats, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton on the “Transgender Bathroom Bills.” Also, Gregory T. Angelo, president of the Log Cabin Republicans, an advocacy group for gay Republicans, said of Trump, “He is one of the BEST, if not THE best, pro-gay Republican candidates to EVER run for the presidency.” He added that Trump would “do no harm on Gay Marriage”, and has a “stand-out position” on nondiscrimination legislation. Concerning the Gay Marriage Ruling by the SCOTUS, Trump said, “the Court has ruled and it is the law of the land. You have to go with it.” A lesbian reporter asked, “When President Trump is in office can we look for more FORWARD motion on equality for gays and lesbians?” Trump responded, “Well, you CAN. We’re going to bring people together, and that’s your thing, and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together.”

On Abortion, Trump said that the Nation’s leading murderer of the unborn, Planned Parenthood, does “many wonderful things”, and that he would not pursue the “defunding” of the organization. As to our greatest Ally Israel, Donald said that he would be “NEUTRAL” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He also pledges to give the “Peace Plan” (which DIVIDES the Holy Land of Israel and gives some of the Jewish State’s Holiest Ancient Cities to the murderous Islamists of Palestine) “one hell of a shot.” He also said, “If I do win, there has to be a certain amount of surprise, UNPREDICTABILITY. Our country has no unpredictability.” Sorry Trump, but when it comes to Israel, we should ALWAYS be predictable in standing shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish State. Trump was also the first Republican Presidential Candidate in nearly a half century to not reference God throughout his acceptance speech. He also spoke more in defense of LGBTQ issues, than he did about Religious Liberty, or social issues that matter to Christian voters. So, these are the reasons I’m firmly #NeverTrump. He may have an (R) next to his name, but he’s still a Democrat to me.

HILLARY CLINTON: Democrat Party

In my opinion, and in the opinion of many with any theological understanding, you CANNOT be a Christian AND a Democrat. The two belief systems are diametrically opposed. Clinton’s 2016 platform will allow partial birth abortion to protect the mother’s “health,” which includes “emotional” health. That means murder of a baby would be acceptable for MILD DEPRESSION in a mother. Clinton is also an outspoken supporter of Gay Marriage. She was the FIRST First Lady to ever march in a “gay pride parade”. Hillary also became the first member of ANY presidential administration in history to call for a Palestinian State. As Secretary of State, she demanded a “freeze” in Israeli construction on their God-given Land in 2009, because she and Obama desired that the Holy Land be gifted to the Islamists in Palestine. She also disrespected and verbally berated Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin NetanYahu on numerous occasions, just as much as the sitting anti-Israel president has done. In 2010, she made headlines for scolding and yelling at Netanyahu for nearly 45 minutes in a phone call. She is cold, calculating, Biblically-hostile, naive and dangerous. Someone who can say that “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with terrorism,” has no business being President of the free world. Hillary Clinton would undoubtedly be Barack Hussein Obama 2.0.

TED CRUZ: Write-In Choice

Finally, here are my reasons why I believe Ted Cruz is the best “Write-In” option for Conservatives, and why he is getting my vote on November 8th. On abortion, Ted would instruct his Attorney General to investigate Planned Parenthood on DAY ONE. On Gay Marriage, he has unapologetically never wavered in his stance that “Marriage is a sacrament between one man and one woman, that it has strengthened societies for millennia, and that we must uphold the Biblical Truth of Marriage.” Concerning Religious Liberty, and the secular, liberal, and government attacks on Christians throughout Obama’s presidency, Cruz has said, “On DAY ONE, a President Cruz will instruct the Department of Justice, the IRS, and every other federal agency that the persecution of Christians ends TODAY.” On Israel, a Cruz Administration would on DAY ONE recognize Jerusalem as the Eternal undivided CAPITAL of Israel and the US Embassy will be moved there. He has said that Israel will always have everything it needs to defend itself. He would immediately reassess US policy towards the Palestinian Authority. NOT ONE PENNY of American tax dollars would go to the PA if they incite hatred against Jews and partner with the terror group Hamas. Ted will also move to defund the UNITED NATIONS if it continues it’s anti-Israel bias and would withdraw federal funding from EVERY American university that boycotts Israel.

THAT, my friends, is what a Christian Conservative candidate looks like. I encourage and call on all of my fellow Conservatives to write-in Cruz. Win or lose, our voices will be heard by the Republican Establishment which has turned it’s back on us. I’m sick and tired of Christians being forced to vote for the lesser of two evils, and I won’t be playing that game this November. 43 States allow Write In Ballots for President of the United States, including my State of Michigan. To my knowledge, the only States not allowing write ins are Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Oklahoma, and South Dakota. The good news is that 6 of these 7 States are “Red States”,  so at least evil Hillary will not carry them.

Now you all have an informed knowledge of every Candidate on the ballot this Election Year, and where they stand on the issues important to us. Share this article, and spread the word. If anyone you know is planning on voting for any of the 3rd Party candidates as a protest vote, make sure they KNOW exactly who and what they are voting FOR. I’ve said it before, and it bears repeating, that we Christian Conservatives have no horse in this race. So, instead of sitting out completely, I intend to vote my conscience and cast my ballot for whom I believe would best return this Nation to Almighty GOD, and that will be Ted Cruz. When all you’re given is a list of “bad choices” friends, I suggest you choose NONE of them. Join me, and CHOOSE CRUZ.
